Engine Flywheel Mount
Type C
An arrangement which directly couples an engine flywheel to the driven shaft. For difficult to align installations and where torsional resilience is required then Type PMH is recommended.
Type FMU, for use with universal shafts
Similar to Type HMU, but mounts directly to an engine flywheel. Clutch weight and partial weight of the universal is supported by the engine crankshaft.
Type PMH with Flexible Element
This arrangement utilizes a flexible element which attaches to an engine flywheel. Clutch weight is supported by the driven shaft. This type is recommended for installations where torsional vibration is a problem.
