Automatic Centrifugal Clutch
BLM ANNOUNCE MODEL HT – 6 CLUTCH
Coincident with its twenty-fifth anniversary, the BLM Automatic Clutch Corporation of Canada Limited, announces the introduction of a new advanced series of centrifugal automatic clutches the HT – 6 series which has already undergone two years of rugged tests in the field under every conceivable condition. The new clutches embody all the basic principles of the original BLM Automatic Centrifugal Clutch, but innovations and refinements practiced over the years have provided new versatility, cover a wider range of power requirements and allow a more specific power recommendation for any given job, thus giving even greater economy of operation.
With the new clutch, Mr. Wilson believed that an essential slippage would be supplied automatically to remove the engineer’s bugbear of burn-out motors, breakdowns in mechanisms and ensuing loss of time for repairs or replacements. Wherever this essential slippage was a factor in efficient performance, this new automatic centrifugal clutch would be the answer.
The performance of the BLM Clutch since those early days has proven Mr. Wilson’s engineering idea to be a sound one a success that has been re-echoed from industry to industry everywhere in Canada, and is amply reflected in the highly satisfactory service records of tens of thousands of BLM clutches in use today, and the increasing demand for them, not only in Canada but in a number of other countries.
The new HT – 6 series covers the complete range of H.P. requirements from fractional to 10,000 and over. They are adaptable to every type of drive electric motors, turbines, gasoline and diesel engines.
The maintenance factor is negligible as there are a minimum of parts to wear out-nothing to get out of adjustment. BLM Clutches in constant use for many years are still operating at top efficiency without maintenance cost. The new HT – 6 series now extends their service to a myriad of new uses to every industry where power is used to drive machinery.
